Eco-friendly construction “Kerterre”

Eco-friendly construction “Kerterre”

As part of my permaculture experience, as I said before, I would like to learn how to build using eco-friendly and natural material like clay.

Well last August I did. I participated in building a “Kerterre” which means from the earth. This construction is built with the earth itself and without using any foundation or structure. It is all made just by hand using basic natural material: lime, hay sand and water.

I spent a week onsite working hard, learning, training and building, cooking, making friends, eating, chatting, enjoying nature, deep conversations, drinks, lovely people and wonderful company.

The place is not completely finished yet. The final stage of building is on going at the moment, and for a few more days. I really wanted to be there to help on these days, but I had an injury last week that prevents me from being there.

I’m really thankful for this experience and for meeting Nancy. She’s such a wonderful person, so friendly, hospitable, positive and very energetic. Thank you Nancy for having me in your house and sharing your friends and this amazing experience. I have a friend called Nancy, finally 😀

Here are a few photos as it can draw a nicer picture.

And the back window is fixed
This window even opens
Just beautiful!
The entrance still under construction
