“Embracing myself.. Embracing the world”
Private sessions
Sharing authentically, connecting with your feelings and letting it just be, will help you discover your needs. We tend to forget about what we want, or sometimes we don’t even know what we want, and totally neglect what we need. I’m here to listen. I will help you to express, share and connect with your feelings and discover your needs.
We aggress each other and ourselves with all the should’s and have to’s. “I have to go to work”, “I should do the laundry”, “Yes, but there are things you should do.”
This behaviour and way of communication with each other and ourselves is very destructive. When we force things on ourselves, we automatically start to hate it. We totally forget what we really want. We don’t check with ourselves “what do I need?!” We tell ourselves the ugliest things, things that if someone else says, would make us furious. How many times do you tell yourself..? “I’m stupid, or I’m a failure, will you ever learn from your own mistakes…”
We all have this disturbing voice in our head that puts us down when we listen to it. If I don’t accept it coming from someone else, how can I say it to myself the whole time? Do you know this feeling when you get a headache because you forgot to eat?! The headache here is your body warning you that there is something wrong. A basic need that hasn’t been met. These aggressive thoughts and things we tell ourselves are also trying to warn us that a need hasn’t been met. Learning about these needs will help me be more compassionate with myself. It will help me understand, respect and accept my human experience. What I want is what I need. Then the picture is clear. I can be more focused and determined, aiming for my needs.
The difference in every human experience and the feelings that this triggers in us varies from one person to another. Yet basic human feelings and needs are universal. Regardless of culture, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, education… We all have the same feelings and needs.
The need is one, though the strategies to get to this same need are numerous. I can’t change my need, but I can simply change my strategy to meet this need. Right!?
I will help you learn how to observe and analyse your feelings to discover your needs. I’m not going to coach you and I will only give you advice if you ask and insist. I will give you the tools to help you make your own decisions and see the picture clearly for yourself.

“Embracing myself.. Embracing the world”
It is a sharing circle and group practice that helps you get in touch with your feelings to discover your needs. Caring for these needs and connecting with others and their own needs. Discovering and appreciating your own beauty and the love you hold to others. Compassion, mutual experience, understanding, being there for one another. Embracing our human nature. Learning practically about a more compassionate approach to communicate with yourself and others. Through the principles of Nonviolent Communication or Compassionate Communication (NVC) which is a communication process developed by Marshall Rosenberg beginning in the 1960s. It focuses on three aspects of communication: self-empathy (defined as a deep and compassionate awareness of one’s own inner experience), empathy (defined as an understanding of the heart in which we see the beauty in the other person), and honest self-expression (defined as expressing oneself authentically in a way that is likely to inspire compassion in others).
Habits of thinking and speaking that lead to the use of violence are learned through culture. NVC theory supposes all human behaviour stems from attempts to meet universal human needs and that these needs are never in conflict. Rather, conflict arises when strategies for meeting needs clash. NVC proposes that if people can identify their needs, the needs of others, and the feelings that surround these needs, harmony can be achieved.
